I have been practising Pilates for over 9 years now, and I’m in love with the method. I’m also crazy about the human body in all its weird, wonderful reality. I am deeply invested in learning more and more about how our bodies work, and how they can work better. I began practising Pilates to relieve symptoms of chronic back pain, and found it to be a system that not only is equipped to relieve symptoms, but also effectively address causes. That’s what I want to do for others—address the causes of their discomfort, pain, and sub-optimal performance so they can feel free, strong, and supple every day. I have followed a very well-regarded certification program, and have years of movement and somatic experience under my belt.
My certificate from BASI Pilates required 500 hours of coursework, practice, teaching, and observation, making it among the more rigorous programs available in the world. Since completing my program, I have also pursued continuing education in Active Isolated Stretching as well as Neurokinetic Therapy. I graduated from Concordia University in 2011 with a BFA in Contemporary Dance, and now work as a professional choreographer when I'm not teaching Pilates.
My other interests include cooking, coffee, dancing, and pugs.
