My program is for you if:

You’re unsatisfied with your current workout, either because you’re not getting the results you want, or because you don’t like doing it. 

You have an injury, are post-rehab for surgery or have a chronic physical condition that makes it difficult for you to exercise.

You have a specific goal, like fitting into an old pair of jeans, improving your posture or building muscle tone.

Why this program?

It FEELS GOOD. Each Pilates session should leave you feeling worked out, but not exhausted. You will feel energized, relaxed and happier. If your workout makes you feel good, you’re going to stick with it and therefore get the results you want.

It’s personalised. No magazine or book can create and adapt a workout to your specific needs and goals like I can. Not only will I design a program that is designed to get you the results you want, I will tailor each workout to how you are feeling that day, and what your body needs. 

Accountability. Sticking with a fitness program can be really hard, but it doesn’t have to be! Many of my clients find that taking an appointment with me is much more motivating that going to the gym alone or to a group class. When you make an appointment, you keep it. You do what you said you would do. 

You never have to set foot in a gym. No blaring Top 40 music, no fighting over elliptical machines, no fluorescent lighting, no grunting dudes taking up all the benches. Instead, you get to focus on your work in the oasis of calm that is la Machinerie Clinique Studio, where I teach.

But, most importantly, It WORKS! Pilates has worked for me, for my clients, for Madonna, Lady Gaga, and even LeBron James. If you want to change your body in a small way or a huge way, this is the way to do it. Each exercise is a full-body exercise, so that for the whole of the session you are working every muscle. The resistance of the springs helps open the joints and stretch your muscles while they work, creating that coveted "long and strong" Pilates body. Each exercise can be progressed or regressed for anyone at any fitness level. Joseph Pilates was truly the "genius of the body" George Balanchine described him as. Pretty Rad.

So, how do I get started?

I'm so glad you asked! First off, you book your Foundation Session with me. A Foundation Session is 1h15m long, and encompasses goal setting, assessment and a first workout.

You’ll come in at a time that is convenient to you, and we will discuss where you’re at presently, where you want to be, and what’s stopping you from getting there.

Then do some short but powerful postural assessments and movement assessments. By looking at your posture, I get a sense of what kinds of things your body is used to doing, and what might be tight and weak vs strong and supple in your body. Then we do some basic movements that give me a chance to evaluate what you are good at and where you could improve. Its a very low-stress event. Lots of people think it’s fun!

Then we work out! If you’ve done Pilates before, you’ll settle into something familiar and get to work. If you’re new to Pilates, we’ll start looking at the basic movement principles of this Method I love so much. This is when you get to feel the work in your own body and get a sense for how it could help you reach your goals. 

At the end of the Foundation Session, we can decide together whether the program is right for you. If you decide to purchase a package of sessions, your Foundation Session (a $106 value) will be included in the price! If you decide not to buy a package, then the Foundation Session (as well as a report of your evaluation that I will send to you by email) will be $85, which is the price of a 1 hour session à la carte.

 

Pricing

My package pricing looks like this:

1 session à la carte     $95 + tax

5 sessions                      $450 + tax  

10 sessions                      $850  + tax

20 sessions                      $1600 + tax

If you’re a new client, your first package of 5 sessions is $360 + tax, or 5 private sessions for the price of 4.
